After a rather tough play, Black Hołdunów's Zenon Waselewicz got a free kick in the 7th minute. Edward Chazen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Jan Motyl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Motyl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jan Motyl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Wojtowicz in the 30th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match, Edward Chazen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dante Lacasa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 34 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Motyl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Jan Motyl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Jan Motyl. Black Hołdunów's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Olgierd Wojtowicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John Dahlqvist went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Olgierd Wojtowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Facundo Cadaval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Motyl having to interfere. Jan Motyl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Black Hołdunów's Jan Motyl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 68th minute of play. Jan Motyl made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Motyl. That made the score 1-4 after 70 minutes of play. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jan Motyl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Motyl. Jan Motyl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
