Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Anton Gertsyk sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute of the match FC Barcelona Lassa got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Javier Sanguinetti ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC Barcelona Lassa's Kazimierz Merski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. FC Barcelona Lassa's Anton Gertsyk got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Anton Gertsyk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Anton Gertsyk scored 2-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona Lassa's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Polikarp Miheev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anton Gertsyk in the 43rd minute. FC Barcelona Lassa's Juan Feliu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alex Chicote, made in the 45th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anton Gertsyk made a kick off. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Anton Gertsyk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Barcelona Lassa's Juan Feliu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Polikarp Miheev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Polikarp Miheev made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Gertsyk came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Gertsyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Barcelona Lassa's Juan Feliu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alex Chicote, made in the 83rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Anton Gertsyk managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barcelona Lassa's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Gertsyk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Barcelona Lassa fully deserved thier win.
