If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Polikarp Miheev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Falcao in the 5th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute of the match FC Barcelona Lassa got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Javier Sanguinetti ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Polikarp Miheev having to make a save. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Gertsyk in the 13th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Anton Gertsyk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Polikarp Miheev made a huge save. 20 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona Lassa's goalkeeper Polikarp Miheev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Gertsyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of FC Barcelona Lassa booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Feliu in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Gerardo Pozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 45 minutes, Radamel Falcao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Barcelona Lassa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radamel Falcao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 48 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Polikarp Miheev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Lacasa to make the kick off. Polikarp Miheev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Orlando Casaus hit a great ball. Anton Gertsyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Polikarp Miheev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Polikarp Miheev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 97th minute of the match. Chile's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
