An unexpectedly hard shot by Göktürk Özgiray in the 7th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Göktürk Özgiray made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Göktürk Özgiray cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Niğdespor's Olcay Orkun Acarbay. But to his dismay, Olcay Orkun Acarbay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Niğdespor's Özer Akartürk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Niğdespor from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Axel Tasis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Niğdespor's Özer Akartürk did a great save. 28 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Özer Akartürk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Mithat Bera notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 32 minutes into the game, Sergo Randoja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niğdespor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Sergo Randoja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göktürk Özgiray in the 36th minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göktürk Özgiray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göktürk Özgiray in the 46th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göktürk Özgiray, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Erim Sungurbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Olcay Orkun Acarbay's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Benito Sanz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Niğdespor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulmelik Özbir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Erim Sungurbay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Niğdespor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. Göktürk Özgiray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Niğdespor's Olcay Orkun Acarbay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. 77 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Göktürk Özgiray came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Göktürk Özgiray got free with Benito Sanz in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Göktürk Özgiray tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Niğdespor's Göktürk Özgiray in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göktürk Özgiray in the 86th minute of play. Erim Sungurbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Göktürk Özgiray came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Benito Sanz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Göktürk Özgiray in the 94thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Niğdespor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
