Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elliott Tinglöf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Korneliusz Brak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Korneliusz Brak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Quitilipi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Quitilipi's Korneliusz Brak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Quitilipi booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Korneliusz Brak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Korneliusz Brak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Korneliusz Brak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quitilipi's Korneliusz Brak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jeremey Vanooteghem fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quitilipi's protests and gave Jeremey Vanooteghem a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Brak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Ursino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Korneliusz Brak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Brak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quitilipi made a substitution. Nunez Hulberto replaced Evaristo Errapel. Felix Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korneliusz Brak having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Korneliusz Brak threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Sancho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Korneliusz Brak made a huge save. Korneliusz Brak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Tinglöf came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
