Özer Akartürk came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Özer Akartürk. Özer Akartürk yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Edmundo Espiga took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Özer Akartürk to make any attempt to save it. 22 minutes into the match, Niğdespor's Mithat Bera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göktürk Özgiray in the 25th minute of play. Edmundo Espiga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Özer Akartürk skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Özer Akartürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Tafalla in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Niğdespor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bahadırhan Rakim to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Özer Akartürk. Niğdespor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
