Willian Caca-Rato received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Willian Caca-Rato slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 38th minute, Lobo Guará's Ezequiel Pereira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Pereira got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Lobo Guará's Willian Caca-Rato got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Ezequiel Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Lobo Guará players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Escribano to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ezequiel Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobo Guará's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st match minute, Lobo Guará was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Imperiale to maneuver through the defense. After 74 minutes of play, Lobo Guará's Ezequiel Pereira made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Anaya was a little too slow when Maximiliano Escribano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 6-1. When Ciro de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Lobo Guará fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro de Moraes couldn't finish the play. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro de Moraes went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro de Moraes's shot from short distance in the 87th minute.
