Laerte Bezerra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 39th minute Valério Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, São Paulo da Floresta's Ruy Lima got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Joel Gaona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teodoro Jacinto. São Paulo da Floresta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Teodoro Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Toledo in the 52nd minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Valério Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save São Paulo da Floresta from getting a goal against them. Teodoro Jacinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Teodoro Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 86th minute of play. Joel Gaona hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Jacinto having to make a save.
