Uruguay's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Brian Romero scored to the left of an out of position Joaquin Gayoso, making the score, 2-0. In the 31st minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulmelik Sırat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Zawacki in the 33rd minute of play. GALATASARAY EFSANESİ's Abdulmelik Sırat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florian Adan in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Zawacki in the 51st minute of the match. Hamit Avcı kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Romero in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Brian Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 60th minute GALATASARAY EFSANESİ were awarded a corner. Fatih Tekke went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Hamit Avcı almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. 62 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdulmelik Sırat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdulmelik Sırat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great ball. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Zbigniew Zawacki might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zbigniew Zawacki ran back to his position shaking his head. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great ball. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 minutes, Brian Romero made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. GALATASARAY EFSANESİ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
