The throw-in from Telmo Teixeira in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. After having played for 8 minutes, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Acácio Falcão in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Sebastian Villa had to leave the field with a concussion. Christian Kaiser's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Kaiser helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Picles de Pepino got a freekick which was hit by Christian Kaiser. 13 minutes into the match, Honduras's Alexander Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Acácio Falcão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Edmundo Espiga sped through Picles de Pepino's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Acácio Falcão. In the 18th minute, Moises Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Silvinho Macedo sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Acácio Falcão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 24th minute. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Picles de Pepino's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Acácio Falcão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alexander Costa in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Acácio Falcão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 28th minute Zafran Lim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Silvinho Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when Picles de Pepino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Picles de Pepino getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Christian Kaiser hit a great ball. Lounès Bensaoula hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Macedo in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvinho Macedo got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivan Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Zé Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Acácio Falcão was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 71st minute Moises Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Picles de Pepino's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great ball. Acácio Falcão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Tafalla went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 79 minutes into the match, Picles de Pepino's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Acácio Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Picles de Pepino's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Honduras's corner Edmundo Espiga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Acácio Falcão quite easily take care of the ball. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Moises Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Acácio Falcão was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. There was no doubt that Honduras were the better team. Honduras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
