Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ferdinand Zmărăndache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lyle Coppack made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Ferdinand Zmărăndache. But to his dismay, Ferdinand Zmărăndache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ediberto de Queirós in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyle Coppack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Ferdinand Zmărăndache. But to his dismay, Ferdinand Zmărăndache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Murillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lyle Coppack came out and tried to block the shot, but Julian Murillo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 29th minute. Lyle Coppack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Lyle Coppack in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 36 minutes Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Milagros Fraga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack did a great save. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mihăiţă Stolniceanu's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eliseo Mina kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lyle Coppack. That made the score 2-2 in the 44 minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mihăiţă Stolniceanu to make the kick off. Lyle Coppack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of play. After 51 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lyle Coppack was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdinand Zmărăndache in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Alvarado to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Mei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73rd play minutes Luz Tejedor shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Lyle Coppack and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Mei in the 78th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdinand Zmărăndache got free with Rolando Noboa in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Lyle Coppack, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Lyle Coppack was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peru fully deserved thier win.
