Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Igor Siekierski made a huge save. After having played for 20 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariusz Mroczynski in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogumil Wawro in the 24th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Siekierski was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Brow Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogumil Wawro in the 34th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Luca Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th match minute, Brow Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Czeslaw Tipinski to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Siekierski having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Andrzej Cichocki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 played minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Igor Siekierski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Igor Siekierski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Brow Team's Norbert Kostrzewa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Norbert Kostrzewa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Brow Team protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Norbert Kostrzewa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Brow Team:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. Igor Siekierski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Brow Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Igor Siekierski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Siekierski. Brow Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mexico fully deserved thier win.
