Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macit Sağıt in the 17th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Suprs Academia's António Silva got a free kick in the 18th minute. The supporters of Suprs Academia booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Prats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macit Sağıt, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jacek Ptaszek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play. Jacek Ptaszek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacek Ptaszek was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacek Ptaszek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Charlie Hultin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Ptaszek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Peru were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amílcar Leiria was the one to do the kick off. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Leiria in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Jacek Ptaszek in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the game, Amílcar Leiria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macit Sağıt in the 69th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Suprs Academia made a substitution. Burt Cawthorne replaced Bai Shi Ao. A sloppy throw-in by António Silva in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Joaquin Prats. 79 minutes into the match, Suprs Academia's goalkeeper Jacek Ptaszek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. Jacek Ptaszek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Antonio Tenorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Ptaszek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Suprs Academia's goalkeeper Jacek Ptaszek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
