It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Alonso Berganza made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær managed to reach the ball for a save. Lars Sundström might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars Sundström ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Lars Sundström tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play forced FC Kurdistan's goalkeeper Alaaddin Solskjær to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Kurdistan's Carlos-Alberto Bayona managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonso Berganza in the 26 minute of the game. 26 minutes in the game Moises Gayoso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eliseo Mina. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Alaaddin Solskjær tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Sundström in the 42nd minute of play. Lars Sundström's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Lars Sundström made the kick off in the second half. Luz Tejedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alaaddin Solskjær having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yin Yun Fan in the 69th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Levander in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Levander in the 74th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Jörgen Levander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Douglas Västberg's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Västberg helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Kurdistan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! FC Kurdistan:s Alaaddin Solskjær showed great skill when he stopped Luz Tejedor:s penalty. In the 83rd minute, Fredric Hybbert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 87 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Hybbert came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alaaddin Solskjær saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alaaddin Solskjær didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 98th minute, which inside left pole to 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Kurdistan had won after a very even match.
