In the 10th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but David De Gea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 29th minute of play forced Dombiratosi Football Club's goalkeeper David De Gea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dombiratosi Football Club's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David De Gea came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David De Gea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dombiratosi Football Club's David De Gea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Dombiratosi Football Club from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Dombiratosi Football Club's Mátyás Csonka was substituted for Roland Sági. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tamás Varsányi was the one to do the kick off. The referee ignored Dombiratosi Football Club's protests and gave Turi Muri a yellow card for diving instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krisztián Kenesei couldn't finish the play. David De Gea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Dombiratosi Football Club defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David De Gea. The Dombiratosi Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David De Gea should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. David De Gea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Dombiratosi Football Club's Turi Muri got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
