In the 15th minute, Edmundo Espiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 minutes, Slawomir Bambas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter Miami and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Inter Miami getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Slawomir Bambas hit a great ball. Ludomil Banas made in the 19th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Wasyl Zahemski. 20 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Inter Miami's Olaf Brytka. Olaf Brytka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 23 minutes into the match, Waldemar Walkowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldemar Walkowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Olaf Brytka came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. But to his dismay, Sebastian Villa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The supporters of Honduras booed when Inter Miami was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boruc Petka didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Waldemar Walkowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter Miami's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. After a rather tough play, Inter Miami's Waldemar Walkowski got a free kick in the 38th minute. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Olaf Brytka when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Olaf Brytka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honduras's Luca Espinar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ludomil Banas, made in the 59th minute of the game. 61 minutes in the game Ludomil Banas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Wasyl Zahemski. In the 64th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olaf Brytka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olaf Brytka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 65th minute of the match. Marek Skorny's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marek Skorny helped the player get up and apologised. Marek Skorny hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boruc Petka hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, Inter Miami was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Walkowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the game Ludomil Banas made a throw-in which Wasyl Zahemski played forward. The supporters of Inter Miami booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Ocampo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludomil Banas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Inter Miami was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wasyl Zahemski to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olaf Brytka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Golota in the 93rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
