Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alphan Ümit in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arslan Asıf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 22 played minutes тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Haydar Bakırcıoğlu. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alphan Ümit in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serbülent Selmi to maneuver through the defense. Serbülent Selmi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Alphan Ümit had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alphan Ümit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With an all-out effort, тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alphan Ümit, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 41st minute, Lautaro Puig made a precise shot to the right of Vahap Atasoy. тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 minutes, Serbülent Selmi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. 72 minutes into the game, Arslan Asıf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. A collision led to тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Arslan Asıf hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 85th minute. Vahap Atasoy was a little too slow when Axel Tasis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
