Haiti's Raymond Louis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Romeu Diniz in the 4 minute of the game. 5 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but Patrick Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Raymond Louis in the 9th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Atlético Capixaba's Jano Souza. Raymond Louis charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raymond Louis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Raymond Louis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Haiti getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Gesner Philippe hit a great ball. If Jonathan Alphonse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Dorval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raymond Louis made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Atlético Capixaba's Nilton de Godoi. In the 21st minute of the game Rodney Emmanuel made a throw-in which Raymond Louis played forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vágner Urbano got free with Noel Seide in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patrick Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 29th minute of play. Gesner Philippe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 minutes of play, Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrick Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Jonathan Alphonse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haiti's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Alphonse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Teles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernso Constant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Alphonse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Teles having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Durvalino Torres to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Patrick Teles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernso Constant. Felix Dorval made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Atlético Capixaba's Dagoberto Loureiro. With a little luck, Atlético Capixaba's Patrick Teles got control of the ball when Jonathan Alphonse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Atlético Capixaba's Patrick Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philippe Ambroise in the 81st minute of play. The throw-in from Felix Dorval in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atlético Capixaba's Dagoberto Loureiro. Jean Marie Alcius made in the 85th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Philippe Ambroise. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 87th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Patrick Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
