Atlético Capixaba's Romeu Diniz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Wayan Freeman in the 15 minute of the game. Patrick Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Finlay Stair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Javan Develder in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Atlético Capixaba's Vágner Urbano. 26 minutes into the game, Jamaica's Finlay Stair nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Teles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Romon Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Finlay Stair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Teles having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Jarell Hill cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Patrick Teles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Atlético Capixaba's Patrick Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finlay Stair in the 43rd minute of play. Romon Oliver might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Teles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romon Oliver ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Finlay Stair's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrick Teles was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Patrick Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kordal Duff in the 52nd minute of the match. Finlay Stair who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Patrick Teles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Wayan Freeman with Finlay Stair as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 62 minutes into the match, Finlay Stair dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Patrick Teles, 0-5. Kordal Duff hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Patrick Teles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Finlay Stair in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute Karlus Waugh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Capixaba's attentive Romeu Diniz managed to snatch the ball when Leron Sale made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. After 72 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Jarell Hill. 74 minutes into the game, Javan Develder threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlético Capixaba's Vágner Urbano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Finlay Stairs short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Patrick Teles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Jarell Hill could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Patrick Teles however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Atlético Capixaba's Patrick Teles got control of the ball when Romon Oliver tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Finlay Stair got free with Patrick Teles in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A throw-in in the 84th minute of the game was made by Wayan Freeman with Finlay Stair as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 84 minutes into the game, Jamaica's Finlay Stair nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 88th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Patrick Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jamaica's Romon Oliver got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karlus Waugh, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 96th match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wayan Freeman to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Jamaica could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Capixaba throughout the match.
