Eugenio Jerrold made in the 4th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jerzy Brack. Eliseo Mina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to make a save. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 16thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣'s Hugo Orlando Gatti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Orlando Gatti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 洪国云. Peru's attentive Anthony Alvarado managed to snatch the ball when Eugenio Jerrold made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Orlando Gatti. Hugo Orlando Gatti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣'s Froilan Hulberto was substituted for Eugenio Nisio. Jerzy Brack hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eugenio Jerrold, made in the 57th minute of the game. After 61 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Mina. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Orlando Gatti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣'s Paolo Oinaz was substituted for Erasmo Baleren. ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣ made a substitution. 钱铮震 replaced Erubiel Urtats. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Clemente Cordera made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Hugo Orlando Gatti successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 钱铮震 in the 74th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Eugenio Jerrold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 80th minute of play forced ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣'s goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
