Jean Britton came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. Jean Brittons short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jean Britton's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Herb Good didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jean Britton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Jean Britton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Britton came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Britton in the 41st minute of play.

Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Britton in the 54th minute of the match. After 56 minutes of play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 59th minute, Jean Britton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Jean Britton took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 66th minute, Jean Britton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Britton came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antony Lofton kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 79th minute Jean Britton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Britton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play.
