The Old Boys's attentive Nereo Medardo managed to snatch the ball when Luis Rubio made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. Generoso Koldobika came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Abram Luque. But to his dismay, Abram Luque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Moises Fernandino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Generoso Koldobika skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Old Boys's Danilo Uhin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mateo Leguizamo in the 37 minute of the game. The Old Boys's attentive Danilo Uhin managed to snatch the ball when Mateo Leguizamo made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Nereo Medardo made in the 40th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Danilo Uhin however managed to control. The supporters of El Salvador booed when The Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Medardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Generoso Koldobika made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Uhin in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. Marco Tamayo scored 2-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Generoso Koldobika, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Magrina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Mateo Leguizamo in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Old Boys's Candido Buinton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Luque in the 59th minute of play forced The Old Boys's goalkeeper Generoso Koldobika to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Generoso Koldobika took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Old Boys's Generoso Koldobika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Fernandino in the 68th minute of play. If Abram Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Generoso Koldobika tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
