Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bona Dios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 11th minute of play. Bona Dios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Fernández in the 13th minute of play. Anacleto Soin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Marco Day throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gaston Fernández in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 【E ➣ Don Bosco Cosquín's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Julián Camino in the 22nd minute. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Zach Harrison. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Fernández in the 29th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Guido Carrillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gaston Fernández's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Bona Dios came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Edward Mcdonald. But to his dismay, Edward Mcdonald quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Fernández in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by USA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Julián Camino was slow to take the kick. During this time 【E ➣ Don Bosco Cosquín's players had a chance to rest. The corner led 【E ➣ Don Bosco Cosquín's Julián Camino to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match USA got a corner. 【E ➣ Don Bosco Cosquín's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
