After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Eliseo Mina fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iker Madrid quite easily take care of the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 42nd minute of play forced Celestiales's goalkeeper Iker Madrid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 played minutes Julian Murillo rounded Celestiales's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. In the 83rd minute of the game Eliseo Mina made a throw-in which Antonio Tenorio played forward. Rafael Gallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Iker Madrid made a huge save. 84 minutes into the match, Celestiales's goalkeeper Iker Madrid had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Gallo. Iker Madrid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Celestiales's Eustaquio Eudoxio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute Jiang Sha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Jiang Sha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celestiales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
