Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Michaloliakos in the 14th minute of play. When AQUILES's Giannis Michaloliakos in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Giannis Michaloliakos might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giannis Michaloliakos ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Giannis Michaloliakos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank Frankfurter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 40th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Michaloliakos in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Michaloliakos in the 44th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frank Frankfurter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Michaloliakos in the 61st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Frank Frankfurter successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 66th minute, Giannis Michaloliakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AQUILES's Prospero Fix was substituted for Giannis Michaloliakos. Daniel Zorita in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Frank Frankfurter, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Zorita had several of the AQUILES's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Frank Frankfurter as he didn't even see the shot coming. 74 minutes into the match, AQUILES's Prospero Fix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on AQUILES's corner Angelo Santo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AQUILES:s goal. Prospero Fix scored 3-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The corner led to AQUILES's Esteban Criston getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Frank Frankfurter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but AQUILES were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
