With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rosendo Berto was slow to take the kick. During this time Villa Lourdes FC's players had a chance to rest. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Valiente in the 20th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After 23 minutes of play, Villa Lourdes FC's Paulino Valiente made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Valiente went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute, Paulino Valiente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Valiente, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Villa Lourdes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Rameriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Pastor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Villa Lourdes FC's Evaristo Rameriz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 80 minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Dominic Pastor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Fabio Lordi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Rosendo Berto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
