Aaron Cutberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 17th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron Cutberto struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espirillo FC. Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregorio Hotz. Abel Demario kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but Espirillo FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
