After 12 minutes, Emanuel Ocampo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Pacífico FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Honduras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pacífico FC:s goal. Severino Mano struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacífico FC. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 肖志庭 in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastian Frey was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Edmundo Espiga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edmundo Espiga really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 肖志庭, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Pacífico FC's 肖志庭 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Sebastian Frey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Pacífico FC's Sebastian Frey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Pacífico FC from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute 肖志庭 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when 肖志庭 made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Neiva came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Severino Mano. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magno Neiva in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Neiva in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Magno Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 minutes, 肖志庭 made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes 肖志庭 could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 3-5 into the left cross. Pacífico FC's Magno Neiva got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pacífico FC's Sebastian Frey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Tafalla in the 76th minute of play. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Frey having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Nando Rivera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 肖志庭 charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 肖志庭 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pacífico FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. 肖志庭 hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Pacífico FC's Nando Rivera got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute of the match, 肖志庭 got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lautaro Navarro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Esteban Carvallo's late challenge caught a Pacífico FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pacífico FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
