In the 16th minute 汪剑桑 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nico Valadares acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mateo Leguizamo. Dionisius Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after El Salvador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Viana took the corner. Dionisius Futebol Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Viana in the 25th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Viana got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ricardo Zorita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 汪剑桑, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 汪剑桑 in the 32nd minute of play. El Salvador's Luis Rubio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luizinho Munhoz, made in the 34th minute of the game. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nico Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joshua Curbelo's late challenge caught a Dionisius Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joshua Curbelo helped the player get up and apologised. 汪剑桑 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Dionisius Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Nico Valadares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 汪剑桑 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentino Ferrant during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentino Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Nico Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Luque in the 76th minute of play. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. El Salvador had played much better football throughout.
