Hermengildo Jaume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play. Hermengildo Jaume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Garrapatita Futbol:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Garrapatita Futbol's Hermengildo Jaume. 0-1. Fernan Garoas short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fernan Garoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Isidoro Toribio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Isidoro Toribio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 41st minute, Alan Turin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Garoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermengildo Jaume narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Isidoro Toribio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Isidoro Toribio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, Garrapatita Futbol's Fernan Garoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermengildo Jaume narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albano Lorenz's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Lorenz helped the player get up and apologised. Albano Lorenz hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Garrapatita Futbol's Albano Lorenz got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 77 minutes into the match, Garrapatita Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Hermengildo Jaume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Hermengildo Jaume successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Garrapatita Futbol's Albano Lorenz got a free kick in the 85th minute. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Hermengildo Jaume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermengildo Jaume read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After 93 minutes of play, Garrapatita Futbol's Isidoro Toribio made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Garrapatita Futbol players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
