Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Jesper Åberg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Caarapo SS's Téo Aparecido got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Sidnei de Souza made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Tomas Illescas could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Sidnei de Souza however easily saved by the left post. In the 13th minute, Benny Schweitzer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Rigoberto Mina put in a rough tackle. 16 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Caarapo SS. Jonathan Mendes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. 0-2. In the 22nd minute, Cassidy Wang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caarapo SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruy Dracena in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 27th minute, Téo Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesper Åberg in the 31st minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Jesper Åberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Téo Aparecido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Dracena came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Caarapo SS's Sidnei de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruy Dracena in the 55th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Téo Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Sebastião de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
