An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Frederik in the 10th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Ourente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Frederik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 28th minute of play. Rafael Frederik hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Gilberto Ourente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baadsrv2's goalkeeper Gilberto Ourente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Antetokounmpo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Frederik came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes Baadsrv2 got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Henric. Humberto Sauveur was slow to take the kick. During this time Baadsrv2's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Baadsrv2's corner Humberto Sauveur fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. When Anaia Gene fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baadsrv2's protests and gave Anaia Gene a yellow card for diving instead. Venezuela's Roberto Ocampo was substituted for Joshua Secada. In the 49th match minute, Baadsrv2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anaia Gene to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Barbosa to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Ourente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilberto Ourente came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Frederik came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Rafael Frederik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Frederik in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match Baadsrv2 got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Humberto Sauveur ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Baadsrv2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giannis Antetokounmpo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Baadsrv2's Giannis Antetokounmpo fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Jonathan Ferrant was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Baadsrv2's Rafael Frederik. But to his dismay, Rafael Frederik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 81st minute, Giannis Antetokounmpo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baadsrv2 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Baadsrv2's Gilberto Ourente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Baadsrv2 from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute Justo Matteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justo Matteo made a great header on Baadsrv2's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 93 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
