Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stanislaw Lichucki firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Stanislaw Lichucki made a huge save. In the 22nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Cambaratiba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Stanislaw Lichucki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Cambaratiba's goalkeeper Stanislaw Lichucki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Stanislaw Lichucki to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Stanislaw Lichucki however easily saved by the left post. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Stanislaw Lichucki made a huge save. Marin Giubelean might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marin Giubelean ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Giubelean in the 41st minute of the match. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Stanislaw Lichucki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Moise Stoicu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yuri Zanette charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yuri Zanette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 64 minutes into the match, Cambaratiba's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Stanislaw Lichucki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 played minutes Cambaratiba got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Vaz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 69th minute of play forced Cambaratiba's goalkeeper Stanislaw Lichucki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute of play forced Cambaratiba's goalkeeper Stanislaw Lichucki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Stanislaw Lichucki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A sloppy throw-in by Felix Montes in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cambaratiba's Moise Stoicu. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
