The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. Jose Correa got his second yellow card in the match during the 54th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 53 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Новгород TS. Viviano Baños stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Loukas Papagiannopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Loukas Papagiannopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 played minutes Новгород TS got a freekick which was hit by Dagmar Zupančič. Yakov Blokhin hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Новгород TS's Zhuang Ting Yuan was substituted for Yakov Blokhin. After a rather tough play, Новгород TS's Yakov Blokhin got a free kick in the 79th minute. Sven-Ove Frykberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viviano Baños in the 88th minute of play. Venezuela's attentive Salvador Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Denis Makarov made a throw-in in the 99th minute of the game. Новгород TS were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
