Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Caetano Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of play. Camilo Salvidor came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Salvidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the game, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Camilo Salvidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Salvidor was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 41st minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Abdoulay Doucouré was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Menchu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Abdoulay Doucouré hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriele Batistuta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Uriel Gorri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Gabriele Batistuta made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 63rd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Gorri in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Abdoulay Doucouré cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Menchu FC made a substitution. Primitivo Rocendo replaced Uriel Gorri. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's Lucas Martínez Quarta broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 77th match minute, Menchu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Cordaryal to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 77th minute of play. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Salvidor was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camilo Salvidor. That made the score 3-3 in the 91 minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdoulay Doucouré, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
