Academia 1903's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Forbes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Juan Estevez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xu Yun Quan went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute, Xu Yun Quan made a precise shot to the right of Juan Estevez. Academia 1903's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 16th minute, Xu Yun Quan made a precise shot to the right of Juan Estevez. Academia 1903's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 19 minutes into the match, Sidney Forbes notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Academia 1903's Juan Estevez. Juan Estevez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sidney Forbes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Xu Yun Quan sped through Academia 1903's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Estevez. A collision led to Academia 1903 getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Amadeo Frisco hit a great ball. After 26 minutes of play, C. A. Independiente's Eric Snowden made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Estevez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kerry Sellers scored 0-8 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Estevez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Xu Yun Quan notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Academia 1903's Juan Estevez. Juan Estevez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th match minute, Academia 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Patrido to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Kerry Sellers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Estevez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Sidney Forbes managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Forbes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Estevez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan Estevez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Forbes in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Qiu Fan Ran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 49th minute of the match Academia 1903 got a corner. C. A. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siro Orlanda ran over to the corner to take the kick. Academia 1903's Siro Orlanda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Farid Mondragón in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fidel Tadzio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Xu Yun Quan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Estevez. Xu Yun Quan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. Kerry Sellers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 61st minute, Xu Yun Quan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-12. In the 66th minute, Kerry Sellers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Estevez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. Academia 1903's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Xu Yun Quan scored to the left of an out of position Juan Estevez, making the score, 0-14. Juan Estevez came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Sidney Forbes. But to his dismay, Sidney Forbes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-15. After 78 minutes, Placido Garin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia 1903 and the C. A. Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. Placido Garin hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Sidney Forbes made a precise shot to the right of Juan Estevez. Academia 1903's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-17. Juan Estevez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xu Yun Quan in the 82nd minute. If Amadeo Frisco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academia 1903's Juan Estevez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Academia 1903 from getting a goal against them. Juan Estevez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xu Yun Quan in the 90th minute. Juan Estevez came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers. But to his dismay, Kerry Sellers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-18.
