Wlodzimierz Dawiec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. If Martin Söderqwist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Sancho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenny Valrot in the 40th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Nyberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Kenny Valrot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The corner led Mörbyhus Palace's Linus Hellsing to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wlodzimierz Dawiec could save by the left post. Kenny Valrot's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenny Valrot helped the player get up and apologised. Kenny Valrot hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenny Carlsson in the 85th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
