Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Pontus Berglund hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niklas Isaksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tor-Ivar Kalland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute of the game Pontus Berglund made a throw-in which Kevin Nykvist played forward. In the 29th minute, Ciro Fata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valla Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Niklas Isaksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Ciro Fata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor-Ivar Kalland in the 38th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Valla Fc's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoine Lovera came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Ciro Fata made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Valla Fc made a substitution. Peter Töpfer replaced Ciro Fata. After having played for 66 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Lovera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Niklas Isaksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Valla Fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Salvador Gisbert at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Valla Fc. 1-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute Valla Fc were awarded a corner. Tor-Ivar Kalland went to the cornerflag to take it. Niklas Isaksson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Niklas Isaksson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Valla Fc walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
