The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Raymundo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play forced Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Arthur Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthur Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Flying Dutch's Arthur Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Arthur Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Flying Dutch's Arthur Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 33rd minute of play forced Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Arthur Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arthur Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of the match. Arthur Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 44 minutes Flying Dutch's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute.

Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Xacintu in the 52nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Amorim having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Xacintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Higinio Raymundo in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arthur Amorim came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, Flying Dutch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Higinio Raymundo took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After 85 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eurico Batista who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Xacintu in the 88th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Flying Dutch's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Ecuador's Felix Montes, in the 91st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. If Higinio Raymundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Arthur Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Flying Dutch fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
