A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Marino Malet notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Zorros del Desierto's Clark Kent. Clark Kent was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute, Jon-Ander Wallffiguer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Alex Dijoux dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gianluigi Buffon, 1-2. After 30 played minutes Sociedad Anónima got a freekick which was hit by Tulio Bringas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pape Lillo got free with Gianluigi Buffon in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darío Verón was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 43 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Velasco Rollan came free, but Clark Kent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dawid Klocko fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sociedad Anónima's protests and gave Dawid Klocko a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sociedad Anónima getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Dawid Klocko hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Pablo Abdallah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clark Kent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velasco Rollan in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The Sociedad Anónima supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sociedad Anónima would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
