Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Dias in the 3rd minute of play. 3 minutes into the game, Mayhem Sharks's Narciso Dias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jailson Rossi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Dias in the 25th minute of play. Narciso Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Narciso Dias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 42nd minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Dias in the 44th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Narciso Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the game, Narciso Dias lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Jonathan Ferrant. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Narciso Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Narciso Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mayhem Sharks made a substitution. Luís Fabiano de Andrade replaced Narciso Dias. In the 82nd minute Luís Fabiano de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Mina charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Luís Fabiano de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mayhem Sharks were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
