Severiano Enekoitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severiano Enekoitz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute Severiano Enekoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Lα Sυв 21's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Ernesto Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Enekoitz took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 30th match minute, Lα Sυв 21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Lopes to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Merexildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Mexico booed when Lα Sυв 21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Isauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lα Sυв 21's Fulgencio Bidari was substituted for Guido Bartolome. Fulgencio Bidari had several of the Mexico's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 65 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Dante Lacasa as he didn't even see the shot coming. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Lα Sυв 21's Pablo Vegetti. But to his dismay, Pablo Vegetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Cirilo Fe charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cirilo Fe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th match minute, Lα Sυв 21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Fe to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Pablo Vegetti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Tibalt in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Lα Sυв 21 getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Jaime Isauro hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulgencio Bidari got free with Dante Lacasa in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lα Sυв 21 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
