The corner ended in Santino Seco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cañada Juniors's Jonatan Bortzaioriz did a great save. Jonatan Bortzaioriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 41st minute of the match. Colombia's Abram Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Adolfo Batista fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cañada Juniors's protests and gave Adolfo Batista a yellow card for diving instead.
