Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lisandro Nuñez started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Lisandro Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lisandro Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Julien Corbeau in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 12th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Dario Astigar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. SAN LORENZO FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Dario Astigar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Nuñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When SAN LORENZO FC's Lisandro Nuñez in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. SAN LORENZO FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
