After having played for 24 minutes, Júlio Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 31st minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Edgar Lang managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC ARK CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Lang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Lang in the 44th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Severo got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Lang in the 47th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC ARK CS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sammy Corcoran in the 48th minute. Sammy Corcoran made a great header on FC ARK CS's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Lang to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Lang in the 75th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC ARK CS had played much better football throughout.
