Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Youri Borderie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léopold Fraval in the 65th minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind U.S.Normande's goalkeeper Mikael Damm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Léopold Fraval's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Constantin in the 79th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, U.S.Normande could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
