When the match had been going on for 12 minutes Emili Lean shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Jonathan Ferrant when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Cesinha Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Erivaldo Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erivaldo Hermes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daniel Bertoni 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in O MOTIVO ⚽'s zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Hermes came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew Murillo got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrew Murillo scored 2-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 38th minute of play forced O MOTIVO ⚽'s goalkeeper Erivaldo Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, O MOTIVO ⚽'s Otávio Leme got a free kick in the 41st minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yan Penha to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erivaldo Hermes could save by the left post. In the 64th match minute, O MOTIVO ⚽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesinha Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrew Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When Cesinha Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored O MOTIVO ⚽'s protests and gave Cesinha Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. Cesinha Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. O MOTIVO ⚽ made a substitution. Caetano Pinho replaced Cesinha Baptista. Cesinha Baptista hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match.
