Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nasko Shukov, made in the 3rd minute of the game. 5 minutes into the match, ZAFIRO FC's goalkeeper Armando Paredes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. After a rather tough play, ZAFIRO FC's Teodoro Montrell got a free kick in the 6th minute. Marco Pero struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ZAFIRO FC. Armando Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Pero in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Paredes was a little too slow when Julian Murillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 25th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Julian Murillo managed to work through ZAFIRO FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Julian Murillo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Armando Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of play. After 38 minutes, Julian Murillo made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. ZAFIRO FC's Armando Paredes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Pero was the one to do the kick off. Armando Paredes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 55th minute of play forced ZAFIRO FC's goalkeeper Armando Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Paredes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Mina went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Armando Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. A sloppy throw-in by Nasko Shukov in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Cecilio Txaran hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute of the match Eliseo Mina shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Paredes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. ZAFIRO FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
