The ToCoTaN FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edelmiro Veronica should have stopped the shot. In the 15thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ToCoTaN FC's Edelmiro Veronica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Wallin in the 19th minute of play. Edelmiro Veronica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Edelmiro Veronica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 23rd minute of the match. Vic Wijnants's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 76thth minute of the game Vic Wijnants who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th match minute, ToCoTaN FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jethro Van Landschoot to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 79th minute of play forced ToCoTaN FC's goalkeeper Edelmiro Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubén Montt in the 81st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Edelmiro Veronica in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edelmiro Veronica made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. After 90 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. Jose Manzanedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Edelmiro Veronica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Rubén Montt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ToCoTaN FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Chile's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
