FK Mintis Vilnius's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Eliseo Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute İsrafil Yağız shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Tomas Danilevičius tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mustafa Kemal. Mustafa Kemal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustafa Kemal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. FK Mintis Vilnius's Mustafa Kemal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Peru's Joaquin Prats got a free kick in the 24th minute. Mustafa Kemal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Dursun Soysal made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Joaquin Prats. 34 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mustafa Kemal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 36th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Kemal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İsrafil Yağız in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mustafa Kemal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's attentive Eliseo Alcocer managed to snatch the ball when Dursun Soysal made a throw-in in the 45th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Tomas Danilevičius made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsrafil Yağız in the 53rd minute of play. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Kęstutis Latoža with Hubertas Dabkevičius as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. FK Mintis Vilnius's Mustafa Kemal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubertas Dabkevičius in the 68th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hubertas Dabkevičius, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 68 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rolando Noboa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a little luck, FK Mintis Vilnius's Mustafa Kemal got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mustafa Kemal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Hubertas Dabkevičius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Peru's attentive Eliseo Alcocer managed to snatch the ball when Dursun Soysal made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Danilevičius came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Hubertas Dabkevičius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hubertas Dabkevičius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. 85 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when İsrafil Yağız came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Mustafa Kemal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mustafa Kemal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 90th minute of the match. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Dursun Soysal got a throw-in 94 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kęstutis Latoža. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
